Jan Noble has taught poetry & creative writing in prisons, schools and psychiatric wards. He has lectured at university level and taken poetry into schools working with ages 5-16. He has run community projects with homeless artists, writers and musicians at the Union Chapel and Islington Libraries with support from the WEA and Awards for All.

He has organised poetry programmes and events with refugee writers and young offenders and has run workshops in hospices and day centres. He was the poetry tutor and facilitator for award-winning Hackney mental health charity Core Arts for 10 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic he helped vulnerable adults stay connected by offering free online classes for mental health service users as well as open access poetry courses.

“Jan has a totally original and fresh approach to making poetry relevant, interesting and accessible.”
